Financial Inclusion and Household Wellbeing in Namibia

Purpose: Financial inclusion is increasingly being recognised as having an important influence on household wellbeing, it provides resources and income, enhances consumption investment in productive assets stimulates overall economic growth. In this paper, we examine the impact of financial wellbeing Namibia. Design/methodology: Using data extracted from 2017 Namibia Inclusion Survey, a UNDP approach for computing human development indices used to generate index. Two-stage least squares regression analysis employed address potential endogeneity associated with inclusion. Findings: The results suggest positive significant effects wellbeing. are consistent across location gender when different methodological approaches applied.
